Brothers and Sisters, I take this time to greet you in Unionism. The Union  plays an  important  role  in ensuring that the rights of workers are not trampled upon and that Natural Justice prevails.   Harry   Bridges  stated,   “The most  important  word  in  the  language of  the  working  class  is  Solidarity.”  I encourage  you  to  fully  participate  in the  activities of the  Union  at  both  the local and national level and by extension international   level. You  play  the  most important role as membership, and for the  Union  to  be successful each of us  must  do  our  part.  A  spokesperson for a workers union stated, “Union membership is like a gym membership. Dues are necessary to operate. And, just like a gym, if you do not show up and participate, you do not become stronger.”

I extend deep condolences to  the  staff, friends and family of Mr. Marcel Palma who  will always be  remembered  as  a Union Member. He participated in activities of the  Union  and  was always willing to lend a helping hand. We lost a warrior. Rest in perfect peace Brother.

As we move into a new calendar year, let us ensure that we continue to work diligently for  the  greater  good  of  our  students, staff and school. Take care of your physical and mental health by exercising and    building    healthy    relationships. The Union remains  committed  to serving you. In  unity  there  is strength.
